Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 12, 2026

Starks Golf Club Works LLC is a veteran-owned golf club repair, regripping and custom-building business in Murray, Utah. This policy explains how we handle information from visitors to www.starksgolfclubworks.com and from people who contact us or purchase our products and services.

For privacy questions or requests, email garystarkjr@starksgolfclubworks.com or call or text 623-693-2741.

Information you provide

When you contact us, request a quote or discuss a custom build, we collect the information you choose to provide. This can include your name, email address, phone number, messages, club photographs, equipment details, build preferences and deadlines. We use this information to answer questions, prepare quotes, agree on specifications and carry out requested work.

Our website inquiry form requires your first and last name, email address and a description of the work. Phone number and club photographs are optional. Squarespace handles form submissions and sends email notifications to our business email address. The form uses Google reCAPTCHA to help prevent spam and abuse; Google may process browser, device and interaction information for that purpose. Please avoid including passwords, complete payment-card details or unnecessary sensitive personal information in messages or photographs.

Orders and payments

When you order, we collect information needed to process and support the purchase, such as your name, email address, billing and shipping information, contact details, selected items, build specifications, prices, taxes, fulfillment method and payment status. We use order records to fulfill purchases, arrange shipping or pickup, provide receipts, handle returns or workmanship claims and maintain business and tax records.

Our website is hosted by Squarespace, which provides commerce, checkout, order-management and related services. Squarespace Payments processes website payments and uses Stripe for payment processing and Sift for fraud monitoring and detection, as described in Squarespace’s published documentation. PayPal and Venmo are also connected payment options. Square is connected for in-person payments. These providers process payment and transaction information under their own privacy policies. The information we receive from them can include transaction identifiers, payment status and limited payment-method details.

Our current Squarespace setting also allows transaction data from connected Square and PayPal services to be shared with Stripe to assess eligibility for Squarespace Capital financing offers. This sharing is separate from fulfilling your order.

For shipped orders, information needed to obtain rates and deliver the package is shared with the shipping service used. FedEx is currently configured for carrier-calculated shipping estimates. For local pickup, we use your contact and order information to arrange an appointment and provide pickup instructions.

Website data and cookies

Squarespace processes technical information to operate, protect and improve its platform, including information about your browser, network and device, your IP address, referring pages and pages you visit. Squarespace may use some site-usage information for its own purposes under its Privacy Policy.

We use Squarespace’s native website and commerce reporting to understand site traffic and activity. This can involve browser and device information, cookie identifiers, approximate location, referring pages, pages visited, interactions and timestamps. Google Analytics has been disconnected from our website’s native Squarespace integration. This does not disable Google reCAPTCHA on our inquiry form or the essential services described in this policy.

Cookies and similar technologies support website functions, checkout and analytics. Our cookie banner offers Accept all, Decline all and Manage cookies. Non-essential cookies are configured as Restricted in Squarespace. Use Cookie Preferences to review or change your selections. Desktop preference controls have been tested; actual cookie blocking and mobile behavior remain unverified. These controls do not guarantee prevention of every form of tracking or third-party data processing. Essential website, security, form-protection and payment services may still process information as described above. Browser controls can also block or remove cookies, which may affect website features.

For more information, see Squarespace’s Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy and Google’s Privacy Policy, linked below.

Communications and marketing choices

We use your contact information to reply to inquiries and communicate about orders, repairs, build approvals, pickup and customer support. These service communications are separate from marketing subscriptions.

Checkout offers an optional box labeled “Sign up to receive news and updates.” It is not selected by default. Subscribers are stored in Squarespace Contacts. If you choose to subscribe, we may use your contact information to send news and offers. You can ask us to stop marketing messages by contacting us at the email address above. Where a marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, you can use it. Opting out of marketing does not prevent necessary communications about your requested work or purchase.

Sharing and business records

We share information with the providers involved in website operation, forms, payment processing, fraud prevention, analytics, shipping and communications, as described above. Customer, job and transaction records are also maintained in our existing Google Sheets business workbook. We may disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to address fraud, disputes or protection of legal rights.

A provider may handle some information for its own purposes under its terms and privacy policy. Following a link to another website or choosing a third-party payment service makes that provider’s practices relevant to your interaction. This policy does not replace those providers’ notices.

Retention and security

Information may remain in our website platform, correspondence, business records and payment-provider systems. How long it is needed depends on its purpose, active jobs and orders, warranty or dispute issues, legal and tax obligations, and the provider’s practices. We do not promise a fixed deletion date or automatic deletion of all copies.

Our website uses an active SSL connection. No online system or method of storage is completely secure. Please contact us if you have a concern about information you have shared. Do not send complete card numbers or passwords through our inquiry form or ordinary email.

Privacy requests and policy updates

You may contact us to ask what personal information we hold, request a copy, correct information, request deletion or ask us to stop marketing. We may need to verify your identity before acting. Requests are subject to applicable law and legitimate requirements to retain records, such as tax, transaction, warranty and dispute records. Rights and procedures under Utah and other U.S. privacy laws depend on where you live and whether the relevant law applies to the business or processing involved. We will handle requests as required by applicable law.

We may update this policy when our practices or services change. We will post the updated policy and effective date on our website and provide any additional notice required by law.
